This week we had a rather unexpected turn of events regarding our move.
The sellers are moved out already and were concerned about leaving the house empty for so long. As a result they offered to move up the possession date - if we were ok with it.
We were hesitant since absolutely everything is already booked - moving truck, furniture delivery, utilities, friends, catering...
But we decided to take the leap. We just have to get the house insured right away.
So...
We officially take possession of our house in one week.
Seven days.
Eeek!
Nothing changes for those wishing to help us move. We decided at this late date getting a moving truck would be impossible. And the utilities - forget it. So while we take possession next Friday, it'll be another week before we move in.
Exciting, yet I find myself inexplicably scared out of my mind! LOL! Homeownership is a wonderful, yet daunting responsibility it seems.
I think I need someone to hold my hand!
Anyway... here is a picture of the chaos that is slowly engulfing the entire house.

I'm still amazed how fast everything turned out for you once the offer had been approved. Wow. Keep in there. You'll find moving to be enjoyable once it all starts to happen.
